Policies & Payments

Payment is due at the time services are rendered. If you have any special considerations regarding payment, please discuss this with the receptionist prior to seeing the doctor. We accept a variety of payment options, including cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and CareCredit.

   

CareCredit

ScratchPay

Missed Appointment and Cancellation Policy 

West Allis Animal Hospital is committed to providing all of our patients with exceptional care. When a client cancels without giving advanced notice or misses an appointment, they prevent another patient from being seen. The following is our cancellation policy.

  • No-Show: On your first incident of no show for an appointment, our team will reach out to notify you of your missed appointment and offer to reschedule. If you accrue a second no-show, your account will be marked, and a non-refundable deposit will be required for the full exam fee at the time of scheduling. If you are a new client, this deposit will go into effect after the 1st no-show.
  • Cancellations: We know that emergencies arise, but we do ask that you give us and our patients the courtesy of canceling with enough time to fill that spot. We consider "last minute" to be within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time. Recurrent last minute cancellations will be considered the same as a no show and your account will be marked as requiring a nonrefundable deposit of full exam fee at time of scheduling. If you need to cancel your appointment when we are not open for business, a message on PetDesk or voicemail will be adequate notice.

Late Arrivals 

We ask that clients arrive 5-10 minutes prior to scheduled appointment time to allow for parking and check-in. We understand that traffic and life happen, so we will accept appointments with a 10-minute grace period after the scheduled time, but we appreciate a phone call as a "heads up". We cannot accommodate later arrivals, and it will be considered a no-show, so we will be required to reschedule. Recurrent late arrivals will require a nonrefundable deposit for the full exam fee at the time of scheduling.

Medication Refill Policy 

We ask for at least 24 hours' notice for medication refills. Please note that any controlled medication refills will not be filled/completed until payment is made and client is present at the facility. Please allow a few extra minutes when picking up this type of medication.

Conduct Policy

Please know that our team strives to offer the best care and service to our pets and their people. We kindly ask that you do the same and treat our team respectfully. Verbal harassment, use of foul language, abusive behavior, threats, or physical assault will result in termination of services.
